His experience includes award-winning coverage of black businesses, while his reporting around corporate accountability has influenced management strategies of major U.S. brands. He began his professional career working at the Chicago Tribune and Wall Street Journal after a year of studying in London.
A Chicago native, Gerald graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where he earned a BA in Journalism and English.
