Ed Lane Fox

Ed has 15 years’ experience working in policy and communications, with a focus on strategy, impact, reputation and issues management. He joined 193 from freuds where he advised Government, international corporates and NGOs.
Prior to freuds, Ed was Private Secretary to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (Prince Harry and Meghan Markle) and a member of The Royal Household’s senior leadership team. During his tenure in the Royal Household, Ed delivered initiatives across a broad range of national and global issues, including the Invictus Games, the Heads Together mental health campaign, the 2018 Royal Wedding and more than 30 overseas visits on behalf of the UK Government.
Before joining Kensington Palace, Ed served as Chief of Staff to the founder and Chairman of Finsbury, where he provided financial communications advice to clients across retail, real estate, tourism, leisure, and TMT as part of the firm’s consumer practice. He has advised on situations including restructuring, stakeholder negotiations and internal communications.
As a former British Army Officer, Ed is passionate about veterans’ welfare and the use of sport for social change; he is a member of the Invictus Games Foundation Board and chairs their HR Committee.
